Robert A. Menner's Obituary
Robert Aloyisus Menner, age 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home, following a long illness.
He was born in Elyria and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1967.
Robert worked as a chipper/grinder for Abbex from 1970 until he went to work as a machinist for Hi-Level in 1998. He retired in 2008.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
During his free time he enjoyed building model cars, gardening and playing BINGO with friends. He loved watching sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ilona (nee Suta) Menner; son, Robert W. Menner (Joseph D. Ward) of Chesterland; daughters, Julia A. (Martin K.) Granneman of Columbus, Catherine L. (William A. Jr.) Harrold of Elyria; grandchildren, Alexander, Victoria and Zackery Harrold and Messeret Granneman; brother, William Menner of Avon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Menner; brother, Joseph Menner.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.) Rev. Bob Sanson will officiate. Interment will be private.
