Robert Martin's Obituary
Robert O. Martin, age 69, of Amherst Twp., died Thursday at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain, following a long illness.
He was born in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and had been a resident of Amherst Twp. for the past 13 years moving from Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Martin served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was a self employed carpenter, remodeling and building new homes.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing, working on old cars and wood working.
Survivors include step-daughters Karen Williams of North Ridgeville, Wanda Schaum of North Olmsted; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Virginia in 2003 and his parents.
Services are private.
The David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville handled the arrangements.
