Robert Lamka's Obituary
Robert Lamka, 65 of North Ridgeville passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, OH. He was born June 15, 1945 in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville for the past 13 years moving from Garfield Heights. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Bob had been employed for 32 years as a production planner for LTV Steel and more recently by Progressive Insurance Co. in Mayfield Heights. He was a member of Harvest Ridge Assembly of God, North Ridgeville. Bob was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and in his younger years enjoyed playing softball and golfing. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he cherished time spent with them. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Donna (nee Schwartz), daughters, Frances (Joe) Alflen of Garfield Heights, Diana (Mark) Marsich of Twinsburg, Susan (Michael) Ribovich of North Royalton, Robin (Tim) Salem of Garfield Heights and Carolyn Lamka of Parma, a step-son, Rob (Cindy) Ables of North Ridgeville, 13 grandchildren, brothers, David (Judy), Donald and Tim (Sue) Lamka and sisters, Helen (Joel) Shingledecker, Marlene Rodman and Marie (David) Lahman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine (Shusarczyk) and Frank Lamka. Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Harvest Ridge Assembly of God 35600 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville where friends may call beginning at 2 P.M. Rev. Kevin Crow, pastor will officiate.
