Robert Knittel's Obituary
Robert R. "Bob" Knittel Sr., age 82 of North Ridgeville died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Renaissance Health Center in Olmsted Township.
He was born and raised in Willoughby, Ohio. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 10 years having moved from Woodhaven, MI. He previously lived in Inkster, MI and Sheffield Lake.
Mr. Knittel served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked as a general manager for Horizon Enterprises in Taylor, MI. retiring in 1993 after 25 years of service.
He enjoyed reading, traveling, restoring automobiles and spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Knittel, sons, Karl Knittel of Holland, MI, Robert Knittel Jr. of Holland, MI, Kurt Knittel of Woodhaven, MI, Jay Knittel of Trenton, MI; daughters, Christine Larschen of Saline, MI, Leslie Ragnone of Linden, MI, Faye Molitor of Lincoln Park, MI; step-daughters, Tammy Davis of Michigan City, Indiana, Jackie Tigert of North Ridgeville; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother, Orville Knittel of Aurora, OH; sister, Sally Prunner of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by First wife, Faye Knittel, parents, William and Eleanor Knittel, four brothers, Bill, Carl, Butch, and Louie Knittel, sisters, Wilma Knittel, Ruth Barney, Eleanor Attkinson, Bert Chambers and Margel Todd.
Friends will be received 6-9PM, Tuesday, August 29 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home,36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH. Services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 9:00 AM. Rev. Stephen Kaminski will officiate. Further visitations and services will be in Michigan. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Huron Twp., Michigan.
