Robert Hoffa's Obituary
Robert B. "Bob" Hoffa, age 61, of North Olmsted, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at University Hospital, Cleveland, following a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, he had been a resident of North Olmsted for the past 26 years moving from Olmsted Falls.
Mr. Hoffa served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was the owner and operator of Square Photo Type Setting, North Olmsted for the past 30 years.
Bob enjoyed bowling, building models of military vehicles and working on classic cars.
He was a member of AA
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Linda (nee Stevens); daughter, Janice (Joseph) Cole of Berea, Wendy Sanyk stationed at March Air Force Base, California; stepson, Dan Gromen of St. Petersburg, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Gabi, Nathan and Austin Cole, sisters, Marguerite Murphy, of Spencer, Kathleen (John) Johns of Rocky River, Patricia (Don) Meyers of Strasburg, Kitty (Wayne) Carter of North Ridgeville, Susan (Hal) Hollingsworth of Fairfield, Ohio and brothers, John Kercher of Knoxville, TN and Luke Hoffa Bluffton, SC.
He was preceded in death by father, Lucius "Buz" Hoffa; mother, Ruth Hoffa; step-mother, Josephine Hoffa; sisters, Christine Ramgren and Jacqueline Alexander.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2008 at 10:00AM at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
