Robert "Gene" Bresock's Obituary
Robert G. "Gene" Bresock, age 77, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.
Gene was born on March 8, 1935 in Morgantown, WV, and lived in Cleveland, Eaton and North Ridgeville before settling in Elyria for the past 30 years.
He worked as a Plant Manager at Clamco Corporation in Cleveland, retiring in 2005 after more than 50 years of service.
He enjoyed the outdoors, and summer weather would find Gene fishing on his boat, relaxing with a good book in the sun after a long walk and spending time with his family. His love of boating also led him to be an avid collector of lighthouses.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty (nee Watkins); daughter Debra (Gary) Edwards of Sheffield Lake; son Randy (Lois) Bresock of Maple Hts.; grandchildren Matt (Stephanie) Edwards of Elyria, Nikki (David Norton) Edwards of Lorain and Shawn Bresock of Lorain; great grandchildren Alexis Bresock of Lorain and Jacob and Nathan "Peanut" Edwards, both of Elyria; brother Gerald (Jewell) Bresock of W.V.; and many nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Forest and Beulah (nee Dewitt) Bresock.
Private Services were held.
