Robert "Bob" G. Feierabend's Obituary
Robert “Bob” G. Feierabend, age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born in Lakewood and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1962.
Robert worked as a plant manager for SRC Rossborough Supply in Cleveland, retiring in 2003 after 25 years.
In 1965 he was the Master of Parkside Masonic Lodge 0736. He managed and held offices in local, county and state Hot Stove Baseball League and was on the Executive Committee of the State Hot Stove Baseball League. He umpired baseball for forty years and had been the local, county and state head umpire. In 1988 he was awarded the Cy Butler Service Award from Hot Stove Baseball and in 1989 the baseball field at Palmer Field in North Ridgeville was dedicated to the Feierabend family. He was elected into the State Hall of Fame in Hot Stove Baseball in 1997. He was also elected into the Elyria area High School Umpires Hall of Fame in 2003 and into the Elyria Bowling Hall of Fame in 2004. Robert enjoyed going to casinos, wood working, playing cards, bowling and loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Linda (nee VanCise), sons, Don (Judy) Feierabend and Dan (Kelley) Feierabend both of North Ridgeville, daughter, Deanne Finkel of Huntington, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Sue (Dan) Danley of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Newman) Feierabend, brother, Jerry Feierabend.
Friends may call Monday from 12-2PM and 4-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30PM. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10AM. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
