Robert L. "Bob" Chapman's Obituary
Robert Lee “Bob” Chapman, age 80, of Elyria, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 12, 1936 in Ohley, West Virginia and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 17 years, moving from Sheffield Village and Cleveland.
Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of V.F.W. 1079 in Elyria. He worked as a machinist for Standby Screw Company, retiring in 1994.
He found his joy in camping, boating, fishing, and traveling with his wife in their R.V.
Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jennie (nee Glowacki); sisters Brenda (Gus) Scarpelli of Litchfield and Barbara Cesari of Concord; sister-in-law Beverly Chapman of Sheffield Village; he will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Janie (nee Paul) Chapman; sisters Montana Butler and Delores Chapman; brothers Raymond and Homer Chapman.
Funeral Services Tuesday, April 4 at 12:00 noon in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment with full military honors by V.F.W. 9871, North Ridgeville will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Cleveland.
