Robert "Bob" Midkiff's Obituary
Robert W. “Bob” Midkiff, age 76, of Smithville, Texas and formerly Columbia Station, passed away at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX.
He was born in Racine, West Virginia and had been a resident of Smithville since 1999 moving from Columbia Station where he lived from 1953-1984.
Bob was a truck driver for the General Motors Parma Chevy Plant for 31 years, retiring in 1984. He then started traveling doing volunteer work at several Christian organizations throughout the United States and Canada.
He was a member of Rosanky Baptist Church in Rosanky, Texas, where he served as a Deacon.
He enjoyed woodworking and going to church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Monazella (nee Roberts); sons, Dean (Debbie) Midkiff of Glendale, Arizona, Don (Karen) Midkiff of Columbia Station; 5 grandchildren; brother, Jim (Peggy) Midkiff of Columbia Station; sister, Mary (Ernie) Schurdell of Columbia Station.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard & Juanita Midkiff.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. John Abraham, of Rosanky Baptist Church, will officiate.
