Robert "Bob" B. Lawless' Obituary
Robert B. “Bob” Lawless, age 85, of North Ridgeville passed away Wednesday 9, 2023 at Fairview Hospital, Cleveland.
He was born in Fostoria, Ohio and had called North Ridgeville home for the past 29 years.
Bob served in the Ohio Air National Guard and the Reserves of the US Air Force for six years and played the trumpet in the 555th USAF Band.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, Personnel Management. He went on to be Corporate Vice President with White Motor Credit department until retiring in the 1980’s. He then went on to sell real estate with Realty One for many years.
Bob greatly enjoyed hiking, traveling with his wife, gardening, reading and volunteering at Fairview Hospital, North Ridgeville Community Care and as a Redcoat at Playhouse Square.
Known for his smiling face and fist bumps, once you met Bob you’d be hard-pressed to forget him. He was always a favorite hike leader known for his hijacks with his walkie talkies, keeping everyone safe, in line and laughing. A true character, he was loved much and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Judy Carol (nee Frecka), and his daughter Lisa (Ed Garrity) Lawless of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lucille Lawless, sister Donna Mandorf and his twin brother, Richard Lawless.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26th at 12:00 noon at Westlake United Methodist Church 27650 Center Ridge Road, Westlake. Pastor Abby Caseman will officiate.
