Rita M Bauer's Obituary
Rita M. Bauer (nee Barnes) age 99, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Lifecare Center of Elyria.
She was born February 20, 1919 in her parent’s home in Shawville, now North Ridgeville, near the Shawville Train Station. She worked on and off while raising four children, for the family business, Barnes Coal and Supply. She was a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville, graduated from St. Peter’s School and North Ridgeville High School Class of 1937.
Rita was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
Survivors include her sons, Ron (Janet) Bauer of LaGrange, Michael (Jeanette) Bauer of Statesville, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1991; daughters, Patricia Sullinger, Sandra Hiller; grandson, John Ryber; sister, Ruth Fate; brothers, William Barnes Jr., Richard Barnes, James (Thelma) Barnes; parents William Sr. and Theresa (nee Pitts) Barnes.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of prayer service at 9:30AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. A Mass will follow at 10AM at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
