Richard "Rick" R. Bristow's Obituary
Richard R. “Rick” Bristow, age 62, of Elyria, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1961 in Elyria, where he has been a resident for the past 32 years, moving from North Ridgeville. He worked as a certified welder for Erie Industrial Products in Lakewood, where he was truly a master of his craft. Rick was very handy and could basically build anything around the house. Having attended culinary school, he was a great cook. He was also a very good artist and history buff. The summer months would find him outside tending to his garden and spending time with his beloved dog Cleo.
He is survived by his wife Debra (nee Ray); daughters April (Eric) Ray of Elyria and Heather (Andrew) Parsons of Cleveland; grandchildren Analeece Tarrant, Jesse Tarrant and Alexander Pritchett; great grandchildren Amarion, Cae’Veon and Jakobi; siblings Tom Bristow and Kelly Kommersmith; many nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Bristow; parents Charles and Ruth (nee Hill) Bristow; brother Bob Bristow; sister Sandy Sopko.
Services will be private.
