Richard "Rich" C. Jindra's Obituary
Richard “Rich” C. Jindra, age 91, of Strongsville, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at UH St. John Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Strongsville for the past 22 years moving from Garfield Hts. He worked as an Assistant Planning Manager for The Illuminating Company/First Energy for 33 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the US Army and St. John Neuman Church. Rich was a private pilot and enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming, gardening, and anything outdoors. He is survived by his wife Betty; children Patricia (Glen) Kordick of MI, Annette Taylor of North Ridgeville, Bernadette (Mark) Jaenke of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Laura (Eric) Myers, Christopher (Ellen) Kordick; great grandchildren Mason, Cooper, Nora, Scarlett; brother Lenny (Tonyia) Jindra of Parma Heights; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Elizabeth Jindra; brother Edward Jindra. Family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Chaplain Danny Parsons will officiate. Burial will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project woundedwarriorproject.org.
