Richard L. Ramsey's Obituary
Richard L. Ramsey, age 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake following a battle with Alzheimer’s.
He was born in Westborough, Massachusetts and had spent most of his life in North Ridgeville. He also spent time living in Ventura, California and Sarasota, Florida.
Richard served in the US Army and worked as a grounds keeper for Sarasota County, Florida, retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed photography, competitive shooting, and anything to do with cars. He loved to go fast and drink his whiskey neat.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle, son, Cory (Megan) Ramsey of Ventura, California, grandson, Jackson Ramsey, step-children, Robert (Elizabeth) Knoepp of North Ridgeville, Matthew Knoepp of North Olmsted, Lindsey Knoepp of Cleveland, step-grandchildren, Declan, Gavin, Claire and Leo Knoepp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Barbara Ramsey.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fall to accommodate our California family.
