Richard Miller's Obituary
Richard H. Miller, age 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away at his home, Sunday, February 4, 2007, following a brief illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1976, moving from Cleveland.
He served in the US Army where he was a paratrooper with the Airborne from 1953-1956.
Mr. Miller was self employed as Dick Miller and Associates and was the owner, producer and director of the Showboat Theater at W. 9th Street in Cleveland from 1970-1975.
He was also a creative writer and published human interest stories in the Plain Dealer, Chronicle Telegram and the Cleveland Press.
He was a Republican candidate for Ward 33 in Cleveland and was endorsed by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Cleveland Press when he ran for office.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Carlene; daughters, Sheri L. Miller-Frangella of Berea, Kathleen Chakan of Brunswick; sons, Timothy of Grafton, Richard of Eaton Twp., Kevin of Brunswick Hills; brother Reginald of Orange City, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Lena Miller and brother, Kenneth.
Friends may call Saturday from 1:30PM until the time of Memorial Services at 2:00PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Raymond Tapajna will officiate. The VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville, will conduct military honors. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 424 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
