Richard McCrann's Obituary
Richard J. "Dick" McCrann, 68 of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday December 20, 2008 at his residence following a long illness.
Dick was a lifetime Lorain County Resident. He was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, and retired from Harshaw Chemical, Elyria after forty-three years of service. He served in the US Army National Guard from 1960-1961. He was a member of the United Polish Club, Elyria, member and past president of the International Chemical Union Local, and had coached for LaGrange Hot Stove. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Surviving is his wife of twenty-two years, Sandra (nee Evans); two sons, Todd (Betsy) of Freedom, PA, Eric (Amy) of Wakeman; daughter, Kelly Smith (Dale) of Elyria; three step-daughters, Cathy Mitchell (Jim) of North Ridgeville, Tamara Kerstetter (Jim), of Sheffield Village and Laura Layne of North Ridgeville; nine grandchildren; sister, Patricia Graves (John) of Highland Hts. and brother, Jim (Kathy) of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adeline "Tina" and Francis McCrann and brother, Robert.
Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30AM Wednesday. Funeral Mass 10:00AM Wednesday at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
