Richard Hunter Lowther's Obituary
Richard Hunter Lowther, age 61, of Columbia Station, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Hts., following a sudden illness.
He was born in Webster Springs, West Virginia and had been a resident of Columbia Station for most of his life.
He was a licensed practical nurse who worked at several are nursing homes and in-home care. He also worked an over the road truck driver for many years.
Richard loved trains, model trains, playing cards, singing and playing music. He was an accomplished vocalist and instrument player who enjoyed playing the banjo, guitar, drums and many other instruments.
Survivors include his wife, Chrystal Lowther of Lorain; children, Cera Cooper of Washington, Justin Lowther of Lorain, Jaime (Stanley) Masarik of Sheffield Village; 6 grandchildren; sister, Darlene Weiss of Columbia Station and father, Obrey Lowther of Columbia Station.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Sebastian Richard Lowther and mother, Aretta Lowther.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Saturday at 10AM in the funeral home. Pastor James Hurst will officiate.
Burial will be in Royalton Road Cemetery, Columbia Twp.
