Richard A. Lempke Sr.'s Obituary
Richard A. Lempke Sr., age 73, of North Olmsted, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville. He was born on November 18, 1951, in Cleveland, and has been a resident of North Olmsted for the past 17 years, moving from North Ridgeville. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and went on to be a supervisor at Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2003 after 32 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 12. Richard went on to work in quality control at Ford following his retirement. In his free time, Richard loved being outdoors. He was an avid boater and fisherman, enjoyed shooting sports and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pat (nee Tomsick); former wife Beverly Hatcher; sons Rick Jr. (Lisa) Lempke, Shane (Julie) Taylor and Erik (Carrie) Adams; daughters Mary C. Rody and Kate M. (Rob) Rody-Discher; grandchildren Halle and Josephine Discher, Erik (River) Taylor, Elliott and Seth (Alyssa) Lempke; great granddaughter Shawn Lempke; sister Bobbie Whiting; many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Betty (nee Smelko) and Richard Lempke; sister Betty Messaros.
Services for Richard will be private.
