Richard J. Lapina's Obituary
Richard J. Lapina, age 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. He was born in Colver, PA and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1968, formerly of Cleveland. He was a member of the US Air Force and St. Peter Catholic Church. He worked in Corporate Credit Management for KOYO Corp. USA in Westlake for 32 years before retiring in 2008. Spending time with his family and grandchildren was his joy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Audrey; daughters Lynn (David) Purcel of Amherst, Deanna (Mike) Reiter of Amherst; son Marc (Janice) Lapina of Avon Lake; grandchildren David, Jason, Rachael, Makaylee, Dominick; brothers James (Chris) Lapina of Warren Robins, GA, Ken (Lisa) Lapina of Valrico, FL; sister Sandra (Jack) Baker of Tampa, FL; nephew Robert (Michelle) Narolewski and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Ryan in 1974; parents Benjamin and Florence Lapina. Memorial mass Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10 am at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery with military honors. Rev Bob Franco will officiate. Arrangements by Bogner family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville.
