Richard John's Obituary
Richard E. St. John, age 49, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Born in Cherry Point, North Carolina, he grew up in Geneva and was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 13 years moving from Dayton.
Richard worked as a Dialysis Technician for St. John West Shore Hospital for the past 13 years.
In the late 1980's and early 90's, he was an athletic trainer for the Watertown Indians and Reno Silversocks.
He was an active member of Calvary Ridge Church of the Nazarene where he was Past President of Youth Ministry, a member of the Praise Team, taught Sunday School, was a board member and head trustee and went on mission trips to Guyana and Hawaii. He also enjoyed coaching youth athletics including softball, track, football and basketball and playing golf. He was also a member of National Athletic Trainers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Anita (nee Brown); daughters, Brianna St. John of North Ridgeville and Erica St. John, at home; parents, Donald and Yukiko St. John of North Ridgeville and brother, Michael (Gaye) St. John of Avon.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Steven Douglas St. John.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at Calvary Ridge Church of the Nazarene, 34881 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Pastor Fritz Below will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
