Richard Gosselin's Obituary
Richard L. "Dick" Gosselin, age 77, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1967 moving from North Olmsted.
Dick was the owner/operator of Richard's Plumbing in North Ridgeville from 1973-1997. He also worked as a serviceman for Columbia Gas from 1953 until 1973. More recently, he did maintenance work at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, where he was a founding member and usher.
He was a former member of the North Ridgeville Lions Club and Red Barn Riders Motorcycle Club.
He enjoyed coaching the Pee Wee Washington Redskins football team, playing cards, bowling, golfing, camping, fishing, boating and loved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carol J. (nee Klamert); daughters, Lynn (James) Hozalski of Wakeman, Cheryl Green of North Olmsted, Kathy Lanier (fiancé Toby Adkins) of Elyria, Karen (Mike) Hrusch of North Ridgeville; sons, Rick (Jill) Gosselin of Avon, Ron (Veronica) Gosselin of Carlisle Twp.; grandchildren, Kevin, Kelly, Derrick, Jessica, Kayla, Chase, Taylor, Carson, Karli, Tyler, Ryan, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Hailee; brothers, Donald (Letty) Gosselin of Olmsted Falls, James (Aida) Gosselin of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Agnes Gosselin.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church 5500 Lear Nagle Rd. Rev. Dr. Richard A. Gonser, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
