Richard A. Gordyan's Obituary
Richard A. Gordyan, age 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home. He was born on May 13, 1944 in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 49 years. Richard is a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville and worked as a teacher in the Strongsville City School District, retiring in 2010. Richard was a very dedicated educator and avid Cleveland sports fan, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis J. (nee Armstrong); son Anthony (Jonna) Gordyan of Columbus; daughter Sara (Christopher) Messina of Macedonia; grandson Miles Messina of Macedonia; brother Ralph Gordyan; sister Marie Pachnowski; many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Lillian (nee Krzywda) and Robert Gordyan; brother-in-law Edward Pachnowski; sister-in-law Donna Gordyan.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville, on Monday, June 30 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church (MASS WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE GYMNASIUM). Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
