Richard W. Friedel's Obituary
Richard W. “Rick” Friedel, age 67, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon after a brief illness. He was born on April 22, 1952 in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 40 years, moving from North Olmsted. He worked as a Teledata foreman for Harrington Electric and was a longtime parishioner at St. Julie Billiart Church. Rick enjoyed being outdoors duck hunting and fishing. He also liked classic muscle cars, slot car racing and model trains. Rick was artistic, using his talents on drawing and painting. He loved spending time with his dogs, watching the fish in his tropical fish tank and listening to music. He is survived by his wife Patti (nee Deeb); son Richard E. (Kristen) Friedel of Olmsted Township; daughter Kelly Friedel of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Kylee, Oliver and Elise; sister Susan Friedel of Olmsted Township; brothers in law Eddie (Lana) and Ron (Joy); many nieces and nephews and special friend to many. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Richard A. and Martha Ann Friedel; mother and father in law Ann and Edward Deeb. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. George Vrabel will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
