Richard Fields' Obituary
Richard W. Fields, age 77, of Lake Port. CA died November 14th at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Lorain. He had lived in Elyria until moving to California in 1952.
Mr. Fields was self employed in the construction trade until retiring in 1992.
He enjoyed going to flea markets, cooking, traveling and working on cars.
Mr. Fields served in the US Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Richard William Fields Jr. of Mississippi, his daughter, Cathy Lynn-Klahn of California, three grandchildren, two brothers, Robert H. Fields of Elyria, and Ronald Meerman of Uniontown, Ohio, four sisters, Judy Janas of North Ridgeville, Joann Ridenour of Marion, Ill, Carol Chander of Bonita Springs, Florida and Edna Kaye Kingsbury of Bandon, Oregon, and his long time companion Evelyn Frances Myer of Lake Port, CA.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Harvey Fields and Laura White, one son, Chris James Fields, sisters, Doris Ratcliff, Judy Sobczak and Lois Banones.
Private burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
A Memorial Service will be held at a late date.
Local arrangements are under the direction of David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville.
