Richard Farner's Obituary
Richard D. "Butch" Farner, age 62, of North Ridgeville, passed away on December 1, 2011 at Hospice Care Center of the Renaissance in Olmsted Twp.
He was born in Norwalk and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 16 years. He previously lived in Plymouth and Greenwich, Ohio.
Butch was self-employed as a truck driver.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and Knights of Columbus, Avon Council, where he was a 4th Degree Knight.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Dr. Paula Farner; daughters, Kathryn Gillespie of Florida, Stephanie Farner of North Ridgeville; sons, Edward (Courtney) Farner of Mansfield, Timothy Farner of North Ridgeville; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lillian Farner of North Ridgeville; grandsons, Logan and Lucas Farner of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Catherine (nee Smith) Farner; brothers, Russell Jr. and Kenneth Farner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Please meet at the church.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
