Richard Fairman's Obituary
Richard J. Fairman, age 66, of New London, died Friday at Grace Hospital, Amherst following a long illness.
He was born in White Township, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of New London for the past 2 years, moving from Elyria. He previously had lived in North Ridgeville.
Mr. Fairman worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company, Brookpark, retiring in 2002 after 25 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers local 1250.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, camping, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Arlene (nee Deyarmin); daughters, Deb Bodak of Youngstown, Pennsylvania, Susan Fairman of Glendale, Arizona, Jessica Fairman of New London; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Earl of Homer City, Pennsylvania, Nelson of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, Clark of Clarksburg, Pennsylvania; sisters, Ruby Strong of Homer City, Pennsylvania, Rose Mack of Apollo, Pennsylvania and May Evans of Petrolia, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jess Earl Fairman in 1980 and Twyla (nee Peterman) Fairman in 2003.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Rev. Bill Shomo will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
