Richard "Dick" A Klopfenstein's Obituary
Richard “Dick” A. Klopfenstein, age 67, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born in Ludington, Michigan and had been a resident there for 47 years before moving to New Lenox, Illinois, Orange Park, Florida, Joliet, Illinois, and most recently, North Ridgeville for the past 5 years.
Richard served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968, proudly.
He worked as clerk for CSX Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 2006.
He was an avid Michigan fan and a devoted family man. He loved his grandkids and enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends. He was an outgoing person who loved to talk and tell stories.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kathy (nee Reinberg); daughter, Joy (Derrek) Supple of Avon; son, Steven (Rita) of New Lenox, IL; grandchildren Karly and Kara Supple, Kyle and Ben Klopfenstein; siblings, Karen Sue (Don) Foster of Hart, MI, Danny (Pam) Klopfenstein of Sevierville, TN, Kim (Leslie) Klopfenstein of Zeeland, MI, Karen (Dave) Dean of Coopersville, MI and Stacy (Robert) Sutton of Ludington, MI; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Madeline (nee Tenney) Klopfenstein.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5PM until time of service at 7PM in Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Rev. Dr. David Buegler will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Ludington, Michigan.
