Raymond Valega's Obituary
Raymond J. Valega, age 65, of North Ridgeville, died Sunday at University Hospital, Cleveland following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1969 moving from Brookpark.
He served in the United States Army from 1957-1960.
Mr. Valega worked as a marketing representative with Weltman Weinberg Reis Esc. Law firm in Cleveland for the past 15 years. He previously had worked with Chemical Bank, Cleveland, Cleveland Trust and Federal Department Stores.
He was a former member of Amvets in Elyria.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, golfing and vacationing in Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Veronica (nee Posa); son, David of North Ridgeville; daughters, Denice Walker of Avon, Dianne Valega of Westlake; 4 grandsons; brothers, Richard J. of Brookpark, Ronald J. of Lodi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophie (nee Galicki) Valega.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9PM and Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of Memorial Services at 10:00AM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Joseph Spolny, interim Associate Pastor of St. Peter Church, North Ridgeville, will officiate.
Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Avon.
