Raymond J. Kaczmarczyk's Obituary
Raymond James Kaczmarczyk, age 62, of Elyria, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio. He died while doing what he loved most - attending opening day with a close friend, beer in hand, enjoying a spring day perfect for baseball.
He was born on August 5, 1958 in Fullerton, California to Marie and John Kaczmarczyk. He lived and worked as an architect/contractor/carpenter in Northeast Ohio for the majority of his life. He loved creating unique designs and remodeling spaces, often inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright design and architecture.
Ray was an avid fan of Cleveland sports teams, particularly the Indians and the Browns. He enjoyed going to live music and sporting events, traveling to see family and spending time outdoors, particularly on the shore of Lake Erie catching sunrises and sunsets. Ray’s greatest joy in life was his two children, and he often shared how proud he was of them with anyone he met.
Ray is survived by his former spouse, Sharon Kaczmarczyk; son Christopher Kaczmarczyk (Chanttel); daughter Natalie Weis (Andrew); two brothers Larry Tracey and John Klein; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Kaczmarczyk and Marie (nee Gilgenbach) Klein, his stepfather Frank Klein and his brother John Kaczmarczyk.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Monday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. where a 9:30 a.m. prayer service will precede a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev.
