Raymond P. Frederick Sr's Obituary
Raymond P. Frederick Sr. passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1963.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1955 and was a member of St. Peter Church, where he was active with the Holy Name Society and UAW Local 1250.
He was Captain of North Ridgeville Auxiliary Police Department for 30 years and worked for Ford as a truck driver for 41 years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.
Survivors include his children, Rhonda (Okey) Shafer of Lorain, Richard (Katharine) Frederick of North Ridgeville, Renee (Don) Perry of Elyria, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, siblings, Robert (Lynn) Frederick of Brooklyn, Henry (Chris) Frederick of Brooklyn, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, son, Raymond Jr. “Pete”, grandson, Adam, parents, Paul and Mary Frederick, sister, Paulette Thomas.
Friends may call Monday, February 26, 2024, from 4PM until the time of services at 5PM.
Grandson Matt Lawson will officiate.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
