Ralph Shannon's Obituary
Ralph Derius Shannon age 74 passed away May 4, 2009. Survived by his wife of 49 years,Ruth Vandergrift Shannon, son Michael Morgan Shannon of Elyria, daughter Paula Sue Basnett of Glenmont, OH, sisters Deloris Traxler of Elyria and Helen Dugan of Maryland, grandchildren Olivia and Joel Basnett and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy "Bud" and Rachel Mercure Shannon, by a brother Darrell Lee Shannon and by a sister, Tillie Rose Shannon. Visitation from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday May 7, 2009 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held Friday, May 8 at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville will conduct full military rites. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Diabetes Foundation 4500 Rockside Rd. Suite 440 Independence, OH 44131.
