Ralph Skrobacs' Obituary
Ralph B. Skrobacs, age 73, of Elyria, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Lakewood Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in California, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for 40 years, moving to Elyria in 2000.
Mr. Skrobacs served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He worked in ramp service for United Airlines for 36 years, retiring in 1994.
Ralph was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Elyria, VFW Post 1079, AMVETS and United Polish Club in Elyria..
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary L. (nee Brubaker); daughters, Tammie (Tom) Connell of Phoenix, AZ, Terrie Ireland of North Ridgeville, Tracie (Scott) Provost of Medina; son Ralph (Sue) Skrobacs of Brunswick; grandchildren, Lauren and Alison Connell, Mary, Andrew, Marc and Alec Ireland, Austin, Tyler and Mason Provost, Ralph and Jimmy Skrobacs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth (nee Hornbake) Skrobacs.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Allen Grothe will officiate. Military Honors to be performed by VFW Post 1079 Honor Guard.
