Phyllis Rowe's Obituary
Phyllis Tryon Rowe (nee Wheeler), age 80, of Olmsted Township, died Tuesday at Fairview Hospital, Cleveland, following a brief illness.
She was born in Schenectady, NY. She had lived in Olmsted Township the past few months; having moved from Newport Richie, FL where she had lived the past 25 years. She had previously lived in Saratoga Springs, NY where she was co-owner of the Rowe's Wandswood Restaurant in the 1960's. She also had lived in Connecticut.
Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, cooking, playing the organ and listening to country music.
She was active in the Parkwood Acres Community Center in Hudson, FL where she helped organize activities.
She is survived by her sons, Robert H. Rowe, of Staunton, VA and Thomas A. Rowe, of North Ridgeville and daughter, Donna Ching, of Naperville, IL; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Vedder, of Clifton Park, NY.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Frank Rowe this past July; her parents, Calvin T. and Sarah (nee Gilbert) Rowe; brother, William Wheeler and sister, Norma Wheeler.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Ridge Church of the Nazarene, 34881 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend David Woods, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Gerald B. H. Soloman Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY
