Phyllis Blaine's Obituary
Phyllis S. Blaine, 87, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Wednesday February 27, 2008.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and cared deeply for her family. She taught kindergarten for many years, beginning with the first kindergarten class in North Eaton and later, Spring Valley in Elyria. During the baby boomer years of the 1950's she had as many as eighty-nine students per day. She was also an avid golfer and reader. Following her husband's career, she moved often and made many lasting friends wherever she went.
Mrs. Blaine will be greatly missed by her son, Ken Blaine; daughter, Kathy Roberts (Steve); granddaughters, Joanne Beckham (Lee) and Sally Brown (Tom); four great-grandchildren; brother in law, Martin Blaine; sisters in law, Gerry (Tony) Piscola and Doris (George) Ankney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1997 and brother, George Small.
Family and friends may be received today from 3-5PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville and also on Saturday from 10:30AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM at the North Eaton Christian Church, 35895 North Royalton Rd., Eaton Township. Pastor Judy Ponting, associate pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
