Peter M. Linden's Obituary
Peter M. Linden, age 56, passed away after a lengthy illness at the New Life Hospice of St. Joseph Residential Center.
He was born on April 6, 1956 in Elyria and was a 1974 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. He has lived in Elyria for the past 5 years, moving from North Ridgeville.
He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria.
Peter worked as a chef at Eddie's Chalet West for 25 years. Not only a chef by trade, he enjoyed cooking and baking for his family at home. An avid reader, he also enjoyed reading cookbooks, the newspaper and especially poring over Sunday's grocery coupons.
Described by his family as a "social butterfly", his good sense of humor and friendly personality won him many friends. Always outgoing, Peter truly enjoyed helping others.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sally (nee Hunt); daughters Tiffany Linden and Amanda (Charles) Lewis, all of Lorain; granddaughter Emma Lewis of Lorain; father Carl Linden of North Ridgeville; brothers Dale (Norma) of North Ridgeville, Mark (Fran) of South Carolina, Allan (Laurie) of North Ridgeville, Matthew (Betty) of Grafton and Eric Linden of Olmsted Falls; sisters Shirley Moore of North Ridgeville and Joyce (Wayne) Hayes of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (nee Schuster) Linden and brother David Linden.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
