Petar Lazarevski's Obituary
Petar Lazarevski, age 78, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Suṧica, Macedonia where he had lived until moving to the Lorain County area in 1966.
He served in the Navy in Europe.
Petar worked at Foseco over a long career where he made many friends and displayed the work ethic his family came to respect and the same work ethic he brought to his service at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, where he was a founding member and could be found helping with Bingo and other events and was an active administrative member.
Pete loved to garden and took pride in sharing the yearly harvest of peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers with friends and family. He enjoyed fitness and working out and would keep in shape playing soccer-another of his passions. One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren. He was a doting dedo and never missed an event or birthday, no matter how far or what type of weather. He relished taking them out for breakfast and always left by slipping them a few dollars to enjoy.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Nuna (nee Vasilevski), daughter, Lena Lazarevski of North Ridgeville, son, Pete (Lindsey) Lazarevski of Charleston, South Carolina, grandchildren Alesko and Samantha, Lucy, Mila, son-in-law, Michael Miller of Rocky River, sister, Kica, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lazarevski Miller in 2003, parents, Stojce and Vena Lazarevski, brother, Dobre Lazarevski.
Respecting social distancing and the wearing of masks, friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, 38665 French Creek Road, Avon where a Mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
