Perry Stambaugh's Obituary
Perry Stambaugh, age 52 of Elyria, died suddenly Friday, April 9, at his home from an apparent heart attack.
He was born September 30, 1951 in Cleveland and grew up in North Ridgeville. He had just recently moved to Elyria from LaGrange. He had previously lived in Oberlin for many years.
Mr. Stambaugh served in the US Army in Vietnam.
He currently was a partner with his brother in Wrecker Central, Elyria. He had previously worked for Avon RV, and previously owned and operated Corky's Car Care in Oberlin and Stambaugh Painting.
Mr. Stambaugh attended First Baptist Church of LaGrange. He was a member of VFW Post 1079, Amvets Post 32, American Legion Chapter 12 and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Elyria.
He enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing, spending time with his friends and working on muscle cars.
He is survived by his Son, Thomas Stambaugh of Eaton Township; four Brothers, Phillip Stambaugh of Huntsville, TX, Patrick Stambaugh of Avon, Ernest "Eddy" Stambaugh of Lagrange, Jimmy Terry of North Ridgeville; one Sister, Phyllis Dajnowski of Beaufort, SC.
He was preceded in death by his Wife Cora in 1998, Father, Ernest in 1997, and his Mother Vondella in 1997.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6:00 PM until time of service at 8:00PM at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, Corner of Liberty and Church Street in LaGrange. Rev. Noel Hack, Pastor will officiate. The VFW Post 1079 will conduct military honors.
