Paul Wichmann's Obituary
Paul D. Wichmann, 79, of North Ridgeville; died Saturday morning, June 28th, at St.
John Westshore Hospital, Westlake; following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland, and had lived in North Ridgeville since 1970; moving from
North Olmsted.
Mr. Wichmann had worked as a telephone repair person for Ohio Bell for 38 years and
retired in 1986.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during WW II; with the 12th Tach. AIR
Command SQ in the Asian-Pacific Theater. He held the rank of corporal and was
awarded the Asian-Pacific Theater Bronze Star.
He was a member of Saint Julie Billiart Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and a
member of the Communication Workers of America.
He is survived by his daughter, Marie Wichmann, of Amherst; sons; Paul Wichmann, of
Wellington and Mark Wichmann, of North Ridgeville.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Marie (nee Wargo) Wichmann, in 2002; his
parents, Paul C. and Mary C. (nee Sexton) Wichmann and a sister, Mary Teresa
Wichmann.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner
Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service
will be held at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial
will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road, N.
Ridgeville. Reverend Doctor Richard Gonser, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
