Paul Edward Tabor's Obituary
Paul Edward Tabor, age 82, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at his home following a long illness.
He was born on November 22, 1934 in Pleasant Hill, TN and grew up in Crossville, TN. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 48 years after moving from Elyria.
Paul owned and operated Tabor Landscaping for over 50 years, retiring in 2011. He also worked 30 years at General Motors, Parma retiring 1985.
Paul was a long-time member of Church of the Open Door where he served in many capacities, including being a Deacon, and installing and maintaining the lawns. He enjoyed staying active and organized and worked in the North Ridgeville Community Care Garden for many years.
Paul is survived by his loving spouse of 61 years Rosemary (nee Stewart), daughter, Deborah Ann (Don) Smith of Akron; two sons, David Paul (Elizabeth) Tabor of Vermontville, MI, Dale Edward Tabor of Vermontville, MI, Grandchildren, Russell & Kevin Smith, Olivia Thompson, Austin, Hanna, Ethan, Richard, Katie, and Steven Tabor; four great grandchildren, brother, James Tabor of Jacksonville, FL and Raymond Tabor of Pikesville, TN; sisters, Helen Stevens Potter of Pompano Beach, Fl., Pauline Keck of Hixson, TN, Margie (Bill) Richards of Hixson, TN, and Joann (Hughell) Campbell of Crossville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vella Tabor (nee Pugh), father, William Perry Tabor, sister’s Vera Robbins, Mattie Swafford, Christine Flynn, and Willene Hayes and brothers, Hershel and Marshall Tabor.
The family will receive friends from 2-4PM Sunday February 12, 2017 at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Monday at Church of the Open Door.
