Paul L. Sloop Sr.'s Obituary
Paul L. Sloop Sr., age 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at his home.
He was born in Grove City and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 2004 moving from Newell, West Virginia. Paul worked as a jockey agent and horse trainer for many years, retiring in 2010.
He was a member of the Horse Benevolent Protective Association and helped found the Little League Baseball Organization in Newell, WV where he enjoyed his time coaching little league and horse racing.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, children, Paul (Sarah) Sloop Jr. of Mentor, Becky (Jeff) DeFranco of Groveland, Florida, Stephen Sloop of North Ridgeville, John Jubilee of California, grandchildren, Grace (Collan), Faith, Hope, Casey, Sadie, Jessie, Addison, Louis, Carrie (Matt), Eric, Matthew, Daniel, great-grandchildren, Dawson, Logan, Amelia and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his children, Deborah Sloop, Michael Sloop, Daniel Sloop and parents, Paul Sloop and Ruth Johnson.
Services will be private.
