Paul Skinner's Obituary
Paul L. Skinner age 64 of Eaton Township passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, January 25, 2010. He was born February 23, 1945 in Defiance, OH and had resided in Eaton Township for some 10 years. He had also lived in Flint, MI, Columbus and Toledo, OH. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran and had served in Viet Nam. He retired from General Motors in 2007 after working 40 years as a machine operator. He was a sports fan and enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Paul was a member of UAW Local 14 and Amvets Posts 32, Elyria. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judy (nee Krosky), a daughter, Stephanie (Ken) Schafner of Strongsville, a son, Kyle (Patti) Sullivan of Reminderville, 9 grandchildren, John, Natasha, Brandon, Dianna, Brandon, Dalton, Emilee, Kallie and Zackary, 2 sisters, Brenda (Homer) Hostetler of Orrville and Louann Keith of Brunswick and 2 brothers, Vernon (Jan) Skinner of Brook Park and Carlyle Skinner of Avon, IN. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Skinner and by his parents, Mavis and Vernon Skinner. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Friday. Rev. Robert Franco, pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Hospice 5255 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
