Paul J. "Joe" Barnette's Obituary
Paul J. “Joe” Barnette, age 74, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.
He was born in Weston, WV and had been a resident of Grafton for 20 years before moving to Elyria 35 years ago.
Paul retired from GM after 30 years before working at Creekwood Golf Course for over 20 years.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and being with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Pamela (Dean) Jones and Deanna Sadowski
(Patrick Smith) both of Elyria; son, Joe Barnette (Lana Robinson) of Elyria; grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley) Huffman, Peyton Barnette; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Marianna Huffman; step-grandchildren, Amber Smith, Aliyah, Jared and Dylan Robinson; sister, Martha Jean Donaldson of Grafton; brothers, Ray (Leah) Barnette Jr. and Jim (Debbie) Barnette both of NC, and David Barnette of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Mary R. Barnette; parents, Ernest Ray and Mary Barnette; brother, Charles Robert Barnette; brother-in-law, Bill Donaldson; step-great-grandson, Nathaniel Wright.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of Memorial Service at 1 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
