Paul Brown's Obituary
Paul G. Brown, age 84, of North Ridgeville, died Thursday at New Life Hospice of Saint Joseph, Lorain; following a long illness.
He was born in Glouster, OH and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1961 moving from Elyria.
He served in the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Brown had worked as a tool grinder for the Lear-Sigler Company, Elyria 41 years and retired in 1984.
He enjoyed camping, making lights and train whistles.
He sang with the Elyria-Lorain Barber Shop Chapter. He was a member of the Black River Trail Blazers, the Richland Rascals and the National Campers and Hikers Association.
Survivors include his son, Paul E. Brown of North Ridgeville; daughters, Carolyn (William) Green, of Elyria and Roseanna Parsons, of Springfield, OH; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary F. (nee Starkey) Brown in June of 2004; daughter Connie Lynn Brown; grandchildren, Michael Paul Burson and Deanna E. Edgar-Hernandez; great grandchild Shane Brown; parents, Fred E. and Rose Zella (nee Cobb) Brown; brother William Brown; sisters, Leona Six, Chile Bell, Margaret Kerns and Donna Long.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Reverend C. Michael Gibson, pastor of Fields United Methodist Church, North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
