Patricia A. Spisak's Obituary
Patricia A. Spisak (nee Sostakowski), age 82, of Elyria, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her home suddenly after a long illness.
She was born on November 30, 1938 in Soldier, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 26 years, moving from North Ridgeville, North Olmsted and Lakewood. She was a member of St. Brendan Church in North Olmsted and the Ohio Right to Life Organization.
Patricia was an avid reader, loved to shop, and enjoyed comedies. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family and her dog Essie.
She is survived by her sons Mark (Virginia) Spisak of N.C. and David Spisak of Elyria; daughters Susan (Christopher) Palko of North Olmsted and Anne (Stephen) Coles of Fairview Park; grandchildren Kimberly (Jon Arnold) Roman-Smith, Samantha (Renee Meinke) Smith, Amanda (Christopher) Alfaro, Victoria (Aric) Ringeisen, Jacob Spisak, Andrew(Georgia Miller) Palko, Gabriel (Gail) Palko; great grandchildren Penelope and Elizabeth Alfaro, Joseph, Katie and Annabelle Rose Ringeisen and Nicholas Smith; brothers Carl (Jane) Sostakowski and Robert (Rhoda) Sostakowski; many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Spisak; parents Peter and Anna (nee Zaharansky) Sostakowski; siblings William Sostakowski, Sophie Souch, Joseph, Stephen, Frances and Edward Sostakowski, Helen Smyers, Albert and Peter Sostakowski.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of a 10:45 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home, preceding a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brendan Church, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Rev. Thomas Woost will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
