Patricia C. “Pat” Morrison (nee Hauger), age 79, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Monday, November 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Johnstown, PA., and lived in North Ridgeville since 1970, formerly of Cleveland. Read Obituary
I only knew Pat by phone and loved her. I work at the nursing facility where her dear sister Beaner lived and Pat called her almost every day. Pat always made sure to bring joy to whoever answered the phone. I've missed her terribly since Beaner passed away. She raved about her wonderful neighbors who always shoveled her snow -- so whoever you are, know that she loved and appreciated you dearly. God bless our dear Pat and may she revel in the joys of heaven!
We received the news that our dear friend Pat had passed away yesterday morning, peacefully in her sleep. Our first thought was how sad and so close after Thanksgiving, but then as we talked my husband George and I are thankful for her being in our lives. Sometime you have the gift of a wonderful neighbor who after 47 years, becomes so much more. All those years create a multitude of memories. You remember picnics including swimming in their pool; the bologna roast picnic; sharing projects because they life next door; fence talking so often no matter the weather; having them know all your children and grandchildren so well that they too are devastated by this loss. There's certainly more to be said as we reflect in the days ahead, but we are thankful that her life is free of pain and illness. We are thankful we were a part of her story. We are thankful because this means Pat is in Heaven with Dave! Things are about to get really good up there!
We have family, and we have friends that become family. Pat Morrison was another Mom for us, with a big smile, great laugh, and great sense of humor. In my mind I will always picture her sitting cross legged, with a cigarette, a book and a cup of coffee (or a peanut buster parfait). She raised 2 amazing daughters and was the very best friend my mom could ask for. Ruthie, Jimmy, Pat and Dave are playing cards and celebrating being together again. We miss your smile already Pat.
