Patricia Hershey-Mershimer's Obituary
Patricia A. Hershey-Mershimer (nee McLaughlin), age 85 of North Ridgeville died Tuesday April 25, 2023 at River Pointe Care Center, Olmsted Falls.
She was born in Cleveland, had lived in North Ridgeville for most of her life. She also lived in Ocala, Florida and Cranberry, Pennsylvania.
Patricia was a member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church.
She was a news editor for 25 years working for the North Ridgeville Light, Chronicle Telegram, Lorain Journal and Amherst News Times. She also worked as a bus driver for the North Ridgeville City Schools from 1960-1970’s.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her companion Albert Bowen in his RV.
Surviving are her son Jim (Sheri) Hershey of North Ridgeville, grandchildren, Brian Hershey, Heather Reisner, Kristopher Hershey, great- grandchildren, Oakley Hershey, Zoe Reisner, Elizabeth Costello and Jason Costello. and her brother, Greg McLaughlin of Parma.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Mershimer, former husband, Jim Hershey Sr., daughter, Linda Sherrard, 5 sisters, 4 brothers, father, William Leroy McLaughlin, mother, Ida Mae (nee Hagenburger) McLaughlin.
Friends may call Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 3PM until the time of Memorial Service at 4PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Adam Hall will officiate.
