Patricia Sue Cochran's Obituary
Patricia Sue (DeVelbiss) (Lynch) Cochran, 76, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, of Covid-19 related illnesses. She was born June 24, 1944 at home in Dawson, Maryland, moved to North Ridgeville in the early 1960’s, then lived in Galion, Ohio for 22 years and moved to Elyria in 2007.
Ms. Cochran was a homemaker and a child care provider most of her life. She enjoyed her family, her friends, cooking, reading and playing video games. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the type of person that always had her door open to people that needed help and had a special place in her heart for all children. She babysat many children throughout her lifetime and considered them all her children, and still stayed in contact with many of them and their parents.
Survivors include her children: daughters, Patti J. (Lynch/Mullins) Diehl (Jack) of Lockbourne; Linda Lynch of Elyria; Lori Lynch of Elyria; son, Paul Cochran Jr. of Elyria; step-daughter-in-law, Debi Cochran of Milan; sister, Joan Witt (Donald) of Mt. Savage, Maryland; brother, Curtis DeVelbiss Jr. (Norma) of Kissimmee, Florida; grandchildren, Hillary Mullins of Lockbourne, Justin Workman, Paige Dukes (Anthony), Antonio and Malik Lynch of Elyria; step-grandchildren, Brandon and Corey Cochran; great-grandchildren, Layla, Leah and Lily’Anna Beach (granddivas), Elijah and Gabriel Lynch and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was also survived by a very special friend, Jennifer Beach and a special former son-in-law, Curtis Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Violet (Ellifritz) DeVelbiss; an infant son, John David Lynch Jr.; step-son, Larry Cochran; brother, Charles “Bo” DeVelbiss and husband, Paul L. Cochran Sr.
