Patricia Ann Blakely's Obituary
Patricia Ann Blakely (nee Slacas), age 85, of Westlake, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Westlake.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Lakewood, then North Ridgeville where she resided for 42 years.
Patricia had worked as a secretary for Standard Oil Company for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She was a founding member and president of Desk & Derrick Association at Standard Oil. She served on the Board of Trustees for Mills Creek Association and worked as their office manager for 14 years.
She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, North Ridgeville where she sang with the choir for 40 years and the North Ridgeville Rotary Club where she served as President multiple times.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baseball, loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Warren, sons, Richard (Lynda) James of Grafton, Kevin (Sandra) James of North Ridgeville, stepdaughters, Sally (James) Fell of Roaming Shores, Mary (Robert) Samuels of Phoenix, Arizona, 12 grandchildren and brother, William Slacas II of Bainbridge Twp.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian James and parents, William, and Dorothy (nee Severance) Slacas.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at 10:30AM at the funeral home followed by an 11AM Mass at St. Julie Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road, North Ridgeville. Fr. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
