Orvetta "Bea" Stoltz's Obituary
Orvetta “Bea” Stoltz (nee Weakland), age 79, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake.
She was born in Van Ormer, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Sheffield Lake since 1973, moving from Garfield Heights.
She retired from the Sheffield Lake School system in 1995, where she worked as a driver’s aid with handicapped children for 15 years.
Orvetta was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and Altar-Rosary Society in Sheffield Lake, VFW Elyria Post 1079 Ladies Auxiliary and S.E.R.S.
She was a caring person who enjoyed helping others in need.
Survivors include daughters, Lorrie Schroeder of Lorain, Sharon (Richard) Johnson of Amherst; sons, Michael A. (Janice) Stoltz of Vermilion, David W. (Lisa) Stoltz of Sheffield Village; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Gaul of Irvonna, Pennsylvania and Genevieve “Dean” Whary of Eaton Twp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Stoltz in June 2001; parents, Ralph and Bessie Weakland; brothers, Sam and Edward Fox; sister, Betty Hockenberry.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where the St. Teresa Alter and Rosary Society will have prayer service at 7PM. Prayer services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15AM followed by a 10:00AM Mass at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 1878 North Abbe Rd., Sheffield Village.
Rev. Edward Smith will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Teresa’s Cemetery.
