Ora Mae Tygart's Obituary
Ora Mae Tygart (nee Chaffin), age 76, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at University Hospital, Elyria Medical Center.
She was born in Webb, WV before moving to Lorain in 1957.
Ora worked as a custodian for Olmsted Falls School District.
She attended Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church in Grafton, OH and had a second church family that will always be remembered, at Friendly Chapel Church in Willowspring NC. She enjoyed traveling, camping, family vacation, singing at church and shopping with her sisters. Ora, was a loving and selfless mother, cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will all mourn the loss of an era.
Survivors include her son, Timothy (Janet) Tygart of Lagrange; daughters Theresa (Bernard) Gidich of Loris, SC, Nina (Tom) Mangan of Elyria and Jeannie (Carl) Kokoski of Elyria, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mamie (Elmer) Muncy of Elyria, Sue Roberts of Hoquim, WA, Wanda (Dennis) Queen of North Ridgeville, Danny (Diane) Chaffin of Elyria, William Chaffin of Hoquim, WA, Charles (Carla) Chaffin of Elyria, and David Chaffin of Elyria; brother-in-law, Paul Sizemore of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband; James Tygart in 2011; parents, Truman and Viola Chaffin; sister, Patricia Sizemore.
Friends may call Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 4-7 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM at Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church 12025 S. Durkee Rd., Grafton, where friends may call Thursday beginning at 10AM.
Family friend, Brother Jerry Dempsey will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
